Weight optimization of a pressing station for pipelines with 500 tons of feed force

Project objective:

Reduction of the weight of the station for a more favorable production and significant improvement of the transport situation.

Standards-based optimization of the system with multiple iterations. With consistent safety in terms of stability.

Result:

Weight savings of more than 8 tons per system based on DIN EN 1993 for evaluating stability and strength.

Task shoe for a conveyor system

Project objective:

Identification of so-called dead zones within the flow in the task shoe and comparison of optimization ideas.

Our services:

Creation of stationary CFD simulations to determine the pressure and velocity distribution.

Result:

Knowledge of areas with low speeds and selection of the most suitable optimization variant.

FEA-Analysis of a non-solenoid shut-off valve

Project objective:

Proof of the static strength of a gas-tight shut-off valve under internal pressure – for use in safety-critical applications.

Our services:

Non-linear FEA calculation with consideration of contacts under an operating pressure of 380 bar made of brass.

Result:

Verifiable proof of strength according to DIN EN 13445-12 with additional use of VDI 2230 for stripping resistance of the thread.
